Version 2.2.2 reached the stable channel on October 19, 2026. Its theme is connection: chats that know what is on your board, a bell that tells you what changed, and an assistant that answers the question you actually asked. The board, chats and The Orc are described on how OrcStrator works.

What is new

Every chat can see your board and file cards. Before 2.2.2, a chat knew only its own conversation. Now any chat can look at your board and file cards for you, with no setup. Ask a chat to “put the follow-ups on the board” and the cards appear in the project, ready to start.

Start cards from a private Telegram channel. Cards can be started by posting in a private Telegram channel, which lets other tools hand work to your board. This is on plans that include starting cards from other apps.

A What’s new bell. A bell at the top right shows what changed after each update. The first time the app opens on a new version, it shows that version’s notes by itself. The entries on this news page are written from the same notes.

What works better

  • The Orc’s messages are easy to tell apart. When The Orc sends a message into a chat, it now gets its own bubble, separate from yours.
  • The Orc answers in your language, from fresh data. It replies in the language you last wrote in, and status answers come from the live board at that moment. It can also run routines and send any file to your phone.
  • Auto Compact shows what it saved. Auto Compact summarizes an idle chat before Claude’s cache runs out, so the next message costs less of your limit. It now shows how much that saved, right under the divider it leaves in the chat.

What was fixed

  • The Orc no longer refuses safe requests because of a single word in the text.
  • A plain yes now answers The Orc’s own question, never an older alert.
  • If The Orc does not reply within two minutes, your message is sent again once, and if that also gets nothing, you get a note asking you to send it again.
  • Projects in deeply nested folders no longer break on Windows. A new switch in Settings handles long folder paths.

Who will notice

Anyone who keeps a board. The change you will feel first is that chats stop being islands: the chat that drafted a plan can now file the plan’s steps as cards. If you use The Orc, the fixes remove the most common reasons it seemed to ignore you.

The same day brought 2.2.3, a smaller release for sign-up. Every release is on OrcStrator news.
